About Me

I am a second-grade bilingual teacher in Texas and was encouraged by my ITS to start a blog in my classroom.  I had never blogged before and was a little leery.  As a matter of fact, when she said I should blog with my students, I said, “They’re seven; they can’t do that”.  Boy, was I wrong!!

Their insight is inspiring . . . and I am always amazed at how well they get around the blog.  When I think about how much more these kids know than I did when I was their age, and how many more experiences they have . . . well, it really is exhilirating to be a part of.

Right now, I post and they comment.  Eventually, I’d like for them to have blogs of their own but wouldn’t even know where to begin.  Because I’m looping up to third-grade with these same students (next year) I’m hoping that our blog will grow with us.  Stay tuned . . . we’ll see!
