We’ve been talking a lot about the reading test coming up. We have learned so much these last three years and I want to remind you guys how smart and ready for this test you really are. I know that even though I tell you not to worry, some of you will worry anyway. Take a minute here to tell me two things: 1. what do you worry about, and why? and 2. what strategy do you think will be most helpful to you, and why?

I am worried because I might not pass the test and because I might get more than 3 questens wrong. I think the strategy I use the most is the NURSE strategis.

I am worried if I dont pass the test because I will stay in third grade. But I think I will pass the test. The best strategy to use is to do the Main Idea in each paragraph so you can get the answers right and put the number of the paragraph in each answers of the question.

I am worrid about not passing the TAKS test because then maybe I will stay in 3rd grade. But I don’t think that would happen to anyone. I am scared to of getting a bad grade than I made before. My favorite strategy is the evidence. I think the evidence is important because you got to show were you faund the answer. And if we don’t use it you won’t tell were you faund the answer and it may be wrong. But I don’t think anyone will fail it!

I worry about not passing the TAKS test because if I dont pass the test I wont pass grade. And if I dont pass grade I can not graduate. I think the NURSE strategy will be more helpful for me to pass the test. I am nerves about the test.

I think that the taks test is a little hard because we alwais forget the strategys in the taks test. but I know that we could pass the taks test. And I think that the strategy more helpful for me is to think hard and dont forget the strategy beucause when you forget the strategy and you would not pass the taks test.

I am worryd about the TAKS test because I dont want to fail the TAKS test because I dont want to stay in 3rd grade. The NURSE strategy because the main idea can go back to the story and see the main idea. Like a question of the main idea of the end of the story. I can go back to the story.

Ms.Martinez, the thing that makes me worry is about synonyms and antonyms because the last time we talked you said that I need to practice with them and that is why I am worry. I think that the n.u.r.s.e strategy will help me because I circle the numbers. but the main idea so when I get a questien about main idea I can anser it.

I worry becuase might fail the TAKS test because I forget the strategy. I think that the strategy that will help is the nurse strategy becuase you need to number the paragraphs and underline the title.

I worry about if I dont pass because if I dont pass I will flunk 3 grade and my parents will be mad at me. but then I will have another chance. I think that the nurse strategy is more helpful because the summary of the paragraph when I get to a question summary is going to help me. The test is going to come really early. One more week I guess.
