We’ve been working a lot with fact, opinion and context clues. Give me a fact and an opinion about what we’ve been studying in Science. Also give me an example of how context clues might help you understand something better when you’re reading about the water cycle.

A fact about science is that we have learned about the thermometer that when it freezes the liquid in the thermomoter gets lower and when the thermometer is hot it gets higher . My example that when we read the water cycle and we use context clues it makes me understand much better what I’m reading.

An opinion that I have about science is that water is my favorite thing to drink is because it helps you. This is an opinion because someone else might like something else to drink. And a fact about science is that most of your body is water. You can prove that by reading a book of water. A context clue that might help me with the water cycle is like if there is a sentence that says ”There are 4 steps in the water cycle evaporation, condensation, precipatetion and acumeletion”. A context clue is that there are 4 steps in the water cycle. And they make you understand something and help you read better.

A fact (true information) about science is that were studying about earth materials. Some of them are gravel and soil. An opinion (what I think) about science is that it is the best subject. An example of context clues is like if theres a word that you don’t know you can look for it in the sentence becuse the answer could be there. Like “I eat food with pepper, hot peppers and jalapenos.” They are talking about spices because spices is peppers, hot peppers and jalapenos.
