We have been working very hard in third grade with Reader’s Workshop. There are many things we’ve talked about so far. Choose two things we’ve discussed and tell me about them (that’s a summary). What do you think of Reader’s Workshop? Why do you think it’s important for us to do it?

I think readers workshop is great because we get to use pillows and sit down anywhere. I think readers workshop is important because it helps our writin. And it makes our fluency better.

We have been talking about that when you read you have to understand what are you reading and read with fluincy. I think that Readers workshop is fun because you learn how to understand what are you reading and get better with your reading. I think this is important because when you do the TAKS TEST there are stories you have to read and understand .

I think Readers Workshop is SSUUPPEERR fun. I think Readers Workshop is fun because we read and “Reading Is Thinking” (Readers are leaders). I like Readers Workshop to because the teacher lets us go wherever we want to go and read. I think is important for us to do it because its a subject where you can learn everything about reading. A summary is something like “Tell me about this book”.

I have been enjoying Reader’s Workshop because we write you letters and so I love writing letters. I think you have been enjoying our letters because I am working really hard to make them. I think we shall buzz more to talk more about our books that we are reading. I think this is good practice for our TAKS test of reading.

Two things that Miss Martinez showed us was thinking is reading and another thing that Miss Martinez showed us was buzzing. Buzzing is when you talk about somting that you read. I think that is wondorfol because you get to read and talk about it.

Another thing I like is when we read we go to different places. I think workshop is so fun for me and all of us.
